Anti-Age Face Mask with Shea Butter
In addition to its moisturizing and nourishing effect, shea butter is valued for its anti-aging properties. It contains antioxidants that combat free radicals, preventing premature skin aging, smoothing out fine lines, and keeping the skin looking youthful and glowing with health.
Melt ½ tsp shea butter in a microwave or a double boiler, making sure not to overheat it. Add ½ tsp raw honey (preferably organic) and a couple of drops of geranium essential oil. Mix all ingredients together until creamy. Apply the mixture to clean skin and let it sit from 10 minutes to 1 hour. Then wash your face with cool water and gently pat it dry.

Lightening Face Mask with Shea Butter
This mask consists of just two ingredients, shea butter and lemon essential oil. Shea butter protects your skin from dehydration and restores its healthy glow, while lemon essential oil lightens the skin and produces an antiseptic and antioxidant effect.
Combine 1 tsp shea butter with 2 drops lemon oil, stir well until smooth. Steam your face to open up your pores, pat it dry and apply the mixture to your skin. Wait for 10-15 minutes, than wash your face with cool water and pat it dry.
Please keep in mind that lemon essential oil increases the skin’s photosensitivity, making it more vulnerable to UV radiation. So you shouldn’t apply this mask if your planning to go outside in the next few hours.

Shea Butter Face Mask for Oily and Problem Skin
In addition to nourishing and moisturizing shea butter, this face mask contains clay that helps absorb excess sebum from the skin surface and tea tree extract that has an antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and wound healing effect. Together, these ingredients help balance the skin and keep it hydrated and blemish-free.
Mix 1 tsp shea butter, 1 tsp cosmetic clay (kaolin, bentonite, fuller’s earth or any other), 1 tsp tea tree extract and 2 tbsp water. Keep stirring until the mixture is smooth. Apply it to your face, avoiding the sensitive skin around the eyes, and let it sit for 15-20 minutes. Don’t let the clay dry completely because it may cause dehydration and irritation. Wash your face with running water and pat it dry.
