Due to its high unsaturated fat content, avocado oil is characterized by very high skin penetration and rapid absorption. It hydrates the skin almost instantly and enhances the absorption of carotenoids and other nutrients, which makes it a great ingredient for DIY face masks.

Avocado Mask

The mask is perfect for extremely dry skin that needs extra hydration and nutrients. Mash ½ ripe avocado in a bowl, add ½ tsp avocado oil and mix thoroughly until smooth. Apply the mask to clean skin, avoiding the area around the eyes, and let it sit for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water followed by cool water for extra rejuvenating effect.

Avocado Oil & Egg White Mask

This face mask contains only three ingredients and has a 3-in-1 effect: it moisturizes the skin thanks to avocado oil, tightens it thanks to egg whites, and produces a whitening effect thanks to lemon juice. To make a DIY acne treatment, mix 4–5 drops avocado oil with a pinch of turmeric to get a soft paste. This is a nutrient-rich mask for dehydrated skin with a light exfoliating effect. It helps to make the skin smoother and combats flaking. Mix 1 tbsp avocado oil, 1 tbsp low-fat cream, and 1 tbsp finely ground oatmeal. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes, then apply to clean skin and leave for 20 minutes.
