Honey & Vinegar Mask with Turmeric

This mask is perfect for oily and combination skin. It contains turmeric and honey that kill acne-causing bacteria, apple cider vinegar that regulates sebum secretion and normalizes the skin’s pH, and yogurt that nourishes and brightens the skin.

In a small bowl, mix 1 ½ tbsp organic honey, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, and 1 tsp plain probiotic yogurt. Stir until well-blended. You should get a moderately thick paste that won’t drip off your face. Apply the paste to cleansed skin, let it sit for about 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

Honey & Oats Exfoliating Mask

This is a variation of the previous mask where apple cider vinegar has been replaced with oats. Oatmeal has a soothing and calming effect, making this mask great even for sensitive skin. In addition, oats and honey act as exfoliating agents, helping prevent skin flaking in winter.

In a bowl, combine 3 tsp plain, unsweetened yogurt (preferably live), 2 tbsp oatmeal, 1 tsp turmeric and several drops of raw honey. Mix well until smooth. Spread onto your face, avoiding the area around the eyes. In 15 minutes, gently massage your face to exfoliate and rinse the mask off.

Calming & Brightening Mask for Sensitive Skin

One of the many skin benefits of turmeric is its ability to soothe the skin and speed up its regeneration. To boost the effect of turmeric, this mask contains aloe vera and rose water. Aloe vera calms irritation and redness, as well as moisturizes the skin, while rose water relieves inflammation and brightens the skin.

Combine 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp rose water, ½ tsp aloe vera gel and several drops of grapeseed oil (the oil will keep turmeric from staining your skin yellow). Mix well and apply the mixture to your face. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then wash your face with warm water.

Anti-Redness Nourishing Face Mask

This mask performs two main tasks: it reduces skin redness and nourishes the skin. Turmeric and honey soothe and calm the skin, even out skin tone and improve complexion, while banana moisturizes the skin and provides it with nutrients.

Take about ¼ ripe banana and mash it with a fork to get about 2 tbsp banana puree. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp honey. Mix well and apply the mask to your face. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then gently rinse off.

In addition, the mask contains yogurt that nourishes and moisturizes the skin, and witch hazel valued for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

In a small bowl, mix ½ tsp plain yogurt, ½ tsp powdered activated charcoal, ½ tsp organic witch hazel and ¼ tsp turmeric powder. Stir thoroughly until well-blended, apply to your skin and lie down for 15 minutes. Before rinsing the mask off your skin, massage your face with fingertips to exfoliate.
