Clay Face Mask
Clay is one of the best skin cleansing ingredients. In addition to balancing the skin and eliminating impurities, it produces a detoxifying effect, makes the skin smoother, helps to get rid of pigmentation, improves complexion, and brightens the skin.
There are many types of cosmetic clay that are used in cleansing masks; the most popular ones include kaolin (china clay), bentonite, fuller’s earth (multani mitti), rhassoul, French green clay, and more. To make a simple clay mask, mix some powdered clay with warm water to get a smooth paste. For an additional anti-inflammatory effect, add several drops of your favorite essential oil (optional). Apply the mask to your skin, avoiding the area around the eyes and lips. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then wash your face and apply moisturizer.

Honey & Turmeric Face Mask
Honey and turmeric are great anti-breakout ingredients. Honey has antibacterial and antiseptic properties. In addition, it acts as a gentle exfoliant and provides the skin with nutrients. Turmeric is an anti-inflammatory ingredient. It soothes the skin and keeps inflammation at bay. The third ingredient in this mask is Dead Sea salt. It helps to remove dead cells and excess sebum from the skin surface and reduces inflammation.
In a small bowl, mix 1 tbsp organic honey, 1 tsp turmeric powder and ½ tsp Dead Sea salt. Apply the mixture to your face, using a clean foundation brush. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then rinse off with warm water.

Coconut Oil Face Mask: Variant 1
Contrary to popular misconception, coconut oil is a great ingredient for acne-prone skin because of its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. In addition to fighting acne, this oil nourishes and moisturizes the skin without clogging pores. The second ingredient in this cleansing mask is baking soda. It gently exfoliates the skin and helps to balance its pH.
In a non-metal bowl, mix 1 tbsp softened coconut oil and 1 tsp baking soda. Stir well to get a thick smooth paste (you can add more baking soda if necessary, but do it gradually, one pinch at a time). Apply mixture to clean skin and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then gently massage your face with fingertips and rinse the mask off with warm water.

In a mixing bowl, combine 3 tbsp oatmeal and ¼ cup of warm water. Mix well to make a paste, add 1 tbsp coconut oil and mix again. Apply the mixture to your face, let it sit for 15 minutes. Gently massage your face with fingertips to remove dead cells and unclog pores, then rinse the mask off with lukewarm or cool water.

Charcoal Face Mask
This DIY peel-off mask is effective against blackheads. Charcoal is a good absorbent that draws out impurities and toxins from pores, as well as absorbs excess oil from the skin surface. The second active ingredient is gelatin. It locks in moisture and smooths out fine lines, as well as makes the mask thicken.
Break open 6 activated charcoal capsules or crush 6 activated charcoal tablets. In a bowl, mix 2 tsp unflavored gelatin and 2 tbsp warm water, add the charcoal and stir well. Using a clean makeup brush, apply the mask to your T-zone and let it dry, then peel it off your face.
