The Dubai International Boat Show is held at the Dubai International Marine Club which is only a 20-25 drive from Dubai International Airport. The exhibition is divided into several sections including:
- Marina Display (luxury yachts and boats)
- Superyacht Life Area (an initiative aimed at reaching out to new customers)
- Outdoor Siaply (mostly small to medium-sized vessels)
- Superyacht Pavillion (the epicenter of the show featuring the world’s leading builders and shipyards that is aimed at VIP visitors)
- Equipment Supplies and Services (the latest products and services in the marine industry for both end consumers and trade buyers)
- Marine Luxury and Lifestyle (luxury services and supplies)
- Water Sports (equipment and supplies for canoeing, kayaking, SUP, water skiing, jet ski, surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, paddle boarding)
- Sailing (sailing boats and related equipment)
- Fishing (fishing equipment and supplies)
The Dubai International Boat Show also hosts the Dive Middle East Exhibition (DMEX). It is the only dive exhibition in the Middle East. DMEX presents a wide range of diving equipment and supplies and caters to both experienced divers and beginners. The event is supported by the Emirates Diving Association (EDA) and the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI).
The show has a general exhibitor area and a VIP area. The VIP area is invitation-only, it is a platform for elite clientele to negotiate businesses in a luxurious atmosphere. The guests include high-net-worth individuals, foreign ambassadors, ministers, and even royalty.
DIBS also hosts one-day Middle East Yachting Conference that brings together the world’s leading boat manufacturers, maritime industry experts, construction companies, marina operators, and international distributors.
