Founded in 2003, the Dubai International Horse Fair (DIHF) is organized by the Dubai World Trade Center, a world-class exhibition organizer that has been operating in the Middle East for more than three decades. The event is held under the auspices of Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai and the Minister of Finance and Industry of the UAE.
Held over tree days, DIHF is the finest event of its kind in the Middle East. The event features over 150 exhibitors from several dozen countries and almost 10,000 attendees including royalty and VIPs. DIHF is more than just an equestrian trade fair that presents horse-related products and services. It’s a celebration of equestrian culture packed with exciting events and activities.
The highlight of the show is the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship which is considered the world’s most prestigious championship of its kind. It is a pageant for purebred Arabian horses with a $4 million prize at stake. The competition runs over three days, showcasing the beauty, heritage and agility of its participants.
Other notable events and activities at DIHF include a horse auction, Equestrian Art International (an art gallery showcasing contemporary equestrian fine art), polo demonstrations presented by the Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, a heritage village showcasing traditional food, clothing and handicraft, classical dressage, horse ballet and pony show jumping demonstrations, and more.
