6 Signs Your Partner Is Your Soulmate

6 Signs Your Partner Is Your SoulmateWhen most people make a commitment to get married, they hope they have found “the one”. But how do you know that you really found your perfect match? Here are six signs that your partner is your soulmate.

The term “soulmate” refers to a person with whom one has a feeling of deep affinity (kinship of spirit). Being soulmates doesn't necessarily involve being in love, there is such a thing as platonic soulmates. However, a lot of people hope to marry their soulmate. How can you tell if your spouse is your kindred spirit?

Sign #1. You have a gut feeling. If you just know that your spouse is the right one for you, you need to trust your instincts. There are no clear “soulmate criteria”, you either feel it or you don't. If something deep inside tells you that this is your soulmate and pushes your forward to them, you should listen to your inner voice.

Sign #2. You can be your true self around them. Sadly, we often have to wear masks around other people, suppressing a part of ourselves. When you're with your soulmate, you don't have to hide who you really are. They've seen you at your best and your worst, so you always feel relaxed and comfortable around them.

Sign #3. You felt a deep connection from the very beginning. Soulmates share a deep bond on a subconscious level, so when you meet your soulmate, you just connect without really trying. Recall your first meeting with your spouse. Was there a spark? You should also keep in mind that soulmate connection doesn't fade over time, it only becomes more intense.

Sign #4. Communication is easy. Honest and open communication is an important element of any relationship. A lot of couples have communication problems, especially when their relationship is still new. With your soulmate, conversations are never uncomfortable. You are not afraid to tell them things, express your concerns, etc. Soulmates can have disagreements just like everyone else, but they are always able to work things out.

Sign #5. You trust each other unconditionally. Just like communication, trust is essential in any relationship. Sometimes it takes time to build trust with a new partner, but with your soulmate it is easier. There is no room for suspicious or jealousy in your relationship and you both know that you can always rely on each other.

Sign #6. Your partner can feel it, too. Being soulmates is a two-way street. You think that you've found your soulmate, but does your spouse feel the same way about you? Probably yes, because if they didn't they wouldn't be your spouse, but it will never hurt to check if you're on the same page.
