6 Romantic Honeymoon Activities
What are you going to do during your honeymoon? Probably have lots of married sex, relax and maybe go sightseeing if you feel like it. Classic but boring. Why don't you bring more romance to your honeymoon? Here's our list of romantic honeymoon activities you might want to try.
Have an expensive romantic dinner. Although it is very tempting to spend the entirety of your honeymoon in bed and call room service three times a day, you need to go out for dinner at least once. Put on your best clothes and find the classiest restaurant in the vicinity. If you're not on a very tight budget, allow yourself to splurge. Order the bottle of their most expensive wine or an exotic dish. You've made it to the alter, so you definitely deserve to celebrate!
Watch sunrise or sunset together. It's cliché, but that doesn't make it any less romantic. Catching the sunset is easier, but watching the sunrise is more symbolic as the sight of the rising sun is associated with new beginnings. So spend the night having amazing newlywed sex, and when you're both sated, catch the first glimpse of the sunrise together.
Hit the spa. Many resorts offer amazing couples spa packages, you should try one out. It is an opportunity to spend quality time with your significant other and relax. Did you know that couples spa massage can bring you closer on an emotional level and increase sexual desire? You should definitely take advantage!
Avoid group excursions and seek out adventure. Discovering new places together is so exciting! You can get lost in the labyrinth of narrow streets or go on a scenic hike, try to count all the monuments in the city or discover places preferred by locals but not crowded with tourists. Exploring your honeymoon destination together is a unique experience that will give you a lot of pleasant memories.
Do something exciting. Extreme activities seem less scary when your loved one is by your side. You can try scuba diving, bungee jumping, river rafting, skydiving, wall climbing, spelunking, trekking... whatever your honeymoon destination and budget allow. Experiencing adrenaline rush together will bring you closer and teach you to trust each other (“You jump, I jump, Jack!”).
Explore local customs. You don't have to choose an exotic honeymoon destination to enjoy exploring local customs, each country has something interesting to offer. You can try local cuisine, try on national clothing (don't forget to take pictures), listen to folk music (preferably live) and learn folk dance. What's the point of visiting foreign countries if you learn nothing about their culture?
