Classic Caramel Apples Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 2 tbs water
  • 4 wooden sticks
  • 1 bag of caramel cubes
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 sheet of waxed paper

Wash the apples, remove their stems and insert a stick into each apple stem hole. Put the apples on a waxed sheet. Pour water into a saucepan and add caramel cubes to melt. Stir until smooth. Add vanilla extract. Dip the apples into the caramel and cover each apple completely. Place the apples on the waxed sheet and chill in the refrigerator for 15-10 min (or overnight).

Peanut Caramel Apples Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts
  • 1/3 cup peanut butter
  • 1 bag of caramel cubes
  • 2 tbs water
  • 6 wooden sticks

Wash the apples and remove the stems. Insert a stick into each apple's stem hole. Place caramel cubes, peanut butter and water into a saucepan and heat. Stir until the caramel melts and becomes smooth. Then dip each apple into the caramel and roll till it is covered well. Dip the apples into peanuts and lay on waxed paper. Refrigerate the apples for a while and serve.

Chocolate Caramel Apples Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 apples
  • 1 bag of caramel cubes
  • 2 tbs water
  • 4 wooden sticks
  • 7 oz chocolate
  • 2 tbs shortening
  • 1 sheet of waxed paper

Wash the apples and dry. Insert the sticks into apples' stem holes. Place caramel and water into a sauce pan and cook till smooth, stirring. Dip the apples into the caramel, lay them on a sheet of wax paper and refrigerate for 10-15 min. Melt chocolate with shortening. Dip the apples into the chocolate and refrigerate until set. You can also add chopped nuts or sprinkles on top.
