There are many mojito recipes. Some people prefer a non-alcoholic fruit or berry mojito, others like only classic rum mojito. You can choose any mojito variation you want.

Classic Mojito Recipe

The classic mojito is a rum-based cocktail made with white rum. The classic recipe does not allow the use of other alcoholic beverages along with or instead of light rum as they will spoil the well-balanced taste of the drink.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup white rum
  • 2 tbs lime juice
  • ice cubes
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbs club soda
  • 1/2 lime

Put mint leaves, lime juice and sugar into a mixing glass. Muddle them until mint juice releases and sugar dissolves. Add rum and stir. Put some ice into another glass, pour the cocktail and club soda over the ice. You can garnish your cocktail with mint leaves and a lime slice.

Vodka Mojito Recipe

A vodka mojito tastes different. Vodka will give the cocktail new shades of taste.

Ingredients

  • 4 mint leaves
  • 2 tbs sugar
  • 3 tbs lime juice
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup vodka
  • ice
  • lemon-lime soda
  • a slice of lime

Place mint leaves, lime and lemon juice and sugar into a glass. Add vodka and some ice. Pour some soda into the glass and garnish your cocktail with a lime slice and mint leaves.

Non-Alcoholic Mojito Recipe

If you don't like alcohol, you can make a non-alcoholic mojito and enjoy its fresh taste. Use the following recipe to make a non-alcoholic mojito.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lime
  • brown sugar
  • 1 cup sparkling water
  • mint leaves

Put mint leaves and lime slices into a glass. As there is no rum in this cocktail, you can use brown sugar to add characteristic sweetness typical for white rum. If you don't like too sweet drinks, don't add sugar. Squeeze lime into the glass, add mint and sugar. Then add ice and sparkling water.

Garnish your cocktail if you want. You can also add some berries to change its taste. Many people like a strawberry mojito. Grapefruit, cherry and raspberry mojito are delicious, too. In order to make a berry mojito, put a handful of berries into your cocktail and add a squeeze of lime juice and some mint. Strain the cocktail to remove unnecessary berry pulp and garnish your drink with lime and mint.

Enjoy!
