5 Post-Quarantine Beauty Resolutions to Consider

5 Post-Quarantine Beauty Resolutions to ConsiderIt feels like we’ve been in lockdown for forever, but it’s going to end at some point, and our lives will return to some semblance of normality. You’re probably planning to return to your pre-quarantine beauty routine as soon as it happens, but have you thought about sticking to some of the new beauty habits you’ve gained during your self-isolation? Here’s our list of post-quarantine beauty resolutions to consider.

Find Time to Pamper Yourself

During the quarantine a lot of people suddenly found themselves with more free time on their hands and used some of this time for face masks and at-home spa treatments. It may be harder to find time to pamper yourself when the lockdown is over and you once again have to balance a lot of responsibilities, but, please, do try. At-home facials aren’t just good for your skin; they also contribute to your mental well-being by giving you a half hour to relax and forget about your everyday problems.

Take Batter Care of Your Nails

We aren’t suggesting that you stop getting manicure at beauty salons altogether, but you probably should start taking more care of your hails and cuticles in between salon appointments, using those skills you’ve acquired while doing your manicure yourself during the quarantine. If you take some time to gently push back your cuticles, apply cuticle oil, moisturize your hands regularly and fix chipped polish, your hands will look great even a couple of weeks after your last manicure.

Remember That Your Nighttime Skincare Regimen and Beauty Sleep Are Important

You will probably have less free time when the quarantine is over, so you’ll need to consciously find time for your nighttime beauty routine and make sure you get enough rest because both things are essential for healthy-looking, radiant skin. Removing makeup, cleansing, toning and moisturizing before going to bed are a must for flawless skin, and so are seven to eight hours of sleep every night. You don’t want those dark circles you’ve gotten rid of during the lockdown to appear again, do you?

Get Rid of Old Beauty Products Every Once in a While

While staying at home, many women finally found time to go through their beauty products and throw away expired ones. You should definitely make it a habit once the quarantine is over! Every couple of months, go through your vanity and bathroom cabinets and throw away anything that has expired. You may also find products that you’ve bought but never used for some reason. Of course, you shouldn’t just throw them away if they’re not expired; consider passing such products on to a friend who may find them useful.

Don’t Forget About the Importance of Sunscreen

This resolution isn’t about a beauty habit you’ve gained during the lockdown, but rather about a beauty habit you may have lost. Of course you don’t need sunscreen when you’re staying at home (and by “at home” we mean “inside”, not “chilling out in your backyard”), but you do need it when you leave the house, even if the weather is cloudy. Sun damage accelerates skin aging and may even cause cancer, so protecting your skin from the sun is an absolute must.
