Megacon Live, also styled MegaCon Live, is a major convention featuring celebrity guests from film, television, anime, and gaming, as well as cosplay and other things pop culture. Throughout the year, it is held in several cities in the UK and Ireland, including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Dublin, and Farnborough.

Megacon Live was announced in late 2021 as a new UK-based pop culture convention created by people closely connected to the original MCM Comic Con, which had been acquired by ReedPop in 2017. Bryan Cooney one of the original co-founders of MCM, is among the team behind the new convention. The organizing company of Megacon Live is Malo Events, a London-based events operator founded and led by Cooney and his team.

The inaugural Megacon Live convention took place in Birmingham on March 26 and 27, 2022, followed by conventions in Dublin and Manchester. As of 2025, Megacon Live events were held in five cities: Birmingham, Dublin, Farnborough, London, and Manchester. Each event is held at a major convention center in its respective city. Venues include London ExCeL, NEC Birmingham, Manchester Central, RDS Dublin, and Farnborough International.

Megacon Live’s programming is standard for this type of event and includes celebrity guests, cosplay, gaming, and other activities for fans of movies, television, animation, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, comics, anime, manga, steampunk, and gaming. Arguably one of the main attractions at Megacon Live are the panels, autograph sessions, and photo ops with celebrity guests, but they are definitely not the only attraction. At the convention, you will find anything and everything, from family-friendly entertainment to trading areas where you can purchase a wide variety of merchandise.

To help attendees navigate the convention more easily, all activities are divided into several zones. The main Megacon Zone includes the game area, Cosplay Village, Comic/Creator Village, Performance Square, and other areas. The Kids Mega Zone has fun activities and inflatables for children aged 4–10, as well as a separate area for children under 4.

Megacon Live London also has the Social in the City Zone and the TokFEST Zone. The Social in the City (SitC) and TokFEST zones were formerly separate conventions for online content creators, owned and operated by Malo Events. However, they were eventually incorporated into Megacon Live’s programming. There is now no need to purchase a separate admission ticket to attend TokFEST or Social in the City, as their programming is available to all Megacon Live attendees.

Like most conventions, Megacon Live offers several types of tickets: weekend tickets (with early entry), one-day tickets with early entry, and standard one-day tickets. Children under ten get free entry. Children under three always have free entry, and up to two children aged four to ten can enter with each ticketed adult.

Please note that Megacon Live is not affiliated with MEGACON Orlando in the United States, which is owned and organized by FanExpo HQ.
