Viva Braslav Open Air, also known simply as Viva Braslav, is the largest open air festival in Belarus. It is held every summer at the Braslav Lakes National Park in the northwest of Belarus.

Braslav Lakes (also spelled Braslaw Lakes or Braslaŭ Lakes) is one of the four national parks in Belarus. Founded in 1995, it is a unique ecosystem with several lakes and an extensive pine forest. Viva Braslav Open Air has been held since 2013 at Dryvyaty Lake, which is the largest lake of Braslav Lakes and the fifth largest lake in Belarus.

According the festival team, Viva Braslav is a combination of a lot of great music, sports and drive, beautiful scenery, and positive people. The two-day event features some of the country’s best bands and performers, an incredible atmosphere of a non-stop beach party, a rich variety of food courts, and continuous entertainment at the largest camping site in Belarus.

The festival doesn’t focus on a specific music genre and encompasses pop, rock, hip-hop and EDM. For example, the 2018 line-up featured musicians from Belarus, Ukraine, the Netherlands and Hungary: Ivan Dorn, Alekseev, Bianca, Jay Hardway, Dannic, Artyom Pivovarov, Sergey Bobunets, Nizkiz, Nuteki, Intelligency, Tempo Bay, Groove Dealers, The Empry, Stadiumx, CMC$, Ardston, and others. Although there are plenty of international performers at the festival, one of its main goals is to promote local talent.

Alongside the main stage, there are two additional stages for DJs. The Frudoza White Stage features Belarusian, Russian and Polish DJs and producers. It’s the perfect place to hang out for anyone who loves trance, progressive trance, house, progressive house, deep minimal, techno, and drum’n’bass. The Coliseum Tuborg Stage is reserved for Minsk-based DJs.

In addition to performances on three stages, Viva Braslav offers an extensive entertainment program that includes a rap music showcase, dance workshops, the Miss Braslav pageant, fashion shows, dance battles, sports (beach soccer, beach volleyball, football), an extreme zone (skateboarding, roller skating, BMX), workout, slacklining, and more. There’s something here for everyone!
