Security Service Workers' Day in Ukraine Date in the current year: March 25, 2024

Security Service Workers' Day recognizes the contribution of workers of the Security Service of Ukraine in protection of state sovereignty, its constitutional order and territorial integrity, as well as it ensures the legitimate rights and freedoms of citizens of Ukraine.

The date of March 25 was not selected randomly. This date was chosen to commemorate the adoption of the Law of Ukraine “On the Security Service of Ukraine” in 1992, marking the establishment of the State Security Service under the recently proclaimed independence.

The officers and veterans of the Security Service of Ukraine traditionally accept congratulations from the government representatives and relatives. Awards and brevetting ceremonies are usually held on this day.
