Art Paris Art Fair
Art Paris Art Fair is an annual exhibition of contemporary art that takes place every spring in the capital of France. The event is held at the Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées, commonly known as the Grand Palais. It features over 140 galleries from several dozen countries and attracts more than 50,000 visitors from across the world who come to Paris to enjoy one of the finest selections of contemporary art.

Art Paris Art Fair was founded in 1998 and has been held every year ever since. Its attracts exhibitors from more than 20 countries, representing over 2,000 artists. 52% exhibitors are French galleries, the rest are foreign participants. The fair explores European art from the post war period to the present day as well as international emerging art scenes.

Art Paris Art Fair features several special sections. Since 2012, the fair has been exploring art scenes from around the world in its Guest of Honor section. For example, its 2017 edition focused on the richness and diversity of African art, representing artists and galleries from both the African continent and the diaspora. The Solo Show section is dedicated to discovering or rediscovering of the work of a particular contemporary, modern or emerging artist. The Promises section features young galleries which are allowed to present up to three artists.

Alongside its extensive art exhibition, Art Paris Art Fair features a series of special events aimed at a wide audience. Among the fair’s highlights are monumental video projections on the facade of the Grand Palais. These projections showcase the unseen work of selected artists. Other events featured in the program include special projects, talks, performances, and more.

The fair is constantly expands its geography, featuring galleries and artists from all inhabited continents. It showcases a wide range of art forms and media including painting, photography, installation, work on paper, mixed media, sculpture, film and video, performance, drawing, textile, and everything in between, introducing its attendees to the finest of modern and contemporary art.
