The Gathering of the Juggalos, also known as simply the Gathering or GOTJ, is an annual music festival organized by Psychopathic Records, an American independent record label that specializes in hip hop music. The festival, however, doesn’t focus solely on hip hop. It also features rock, nu metal, heavy metal, and horrorcore.

The term “juggalo” refers to a fan of the hip hop duo Insane Clown Posse or any other Psychopathic Records hip hop group. It originated in 1994 during a live performance by Insane Clown Posse. Juggalos have developed their own subculture with unique characteristics, slang, and idioms.

The Gathering of the Guggalos was founded by American rapper Robert Bruce, the older brother of Joseph Bruce of Insane Clown Posse. The first festival was held in Novi, Michigan. It was a two-day event that attracted more than 7,000 fans. The festival has moved several times since its inception. As of 2017, the Gathering of the Juggalos takes place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

What is the Gathering of the Guggalos famous for? First and foremost, it has an impressive line-up featuring the entire label roster of Psychopathic Records, as well as numerous underground artists and well-known performers and groups. Notable guest performers at the festival have included Ice Cube, Tila Tequila, Busta Rhymes, Xzibit, Onyx, Method Man & Redman, and more. The Gathering has also featured celebrity hosts. For example, Charlie Sheen hosted Saturday night’s main stage at the 2011 event.

In addition to concerts, the festival features multiple activities, including Juggalo karaoke, an open mic, amusement rides, carnival games, helicopter rides, a wet T-shirt contest, ladies oil wrestling, a Ms. Juggalette contest, seminars and autograph signings with Psychopathic Records artists and groups, Hot Daddy’s Hellfire, and a few late night parties. Besides, professional wrestling has been one of the Gathering’s main highlights since its inception.

Described by one of its founders as a “Juggalo Woodstock”, the Gathering of the Juggalos is held every summer. It lasts for five days, filled with good music and fun. Over the years, it has drawn a total attendance of more than 100,000 fans.
