Comic Con Experience (CCXP) is an annual multi-genre entertainment and pop culture convention that takes place in Brazil. The event is based on the San Diego Comic-Con International. It is held in the city of São Paulo since 2014.

The initiator and main organizer of Comic Con Experience is the Brazilian entertainment website Omelete that has been covering films, comic books, music, television shows, video games and other aspects of contemporary pop culture since 2000. It was originally dedicated to comic books, but it has expanded over the years to include almost everything pop culture-related. Omelete’s team organized Brazil’s first pop culture convention with the help of large media companies such as Disney and its subsidiaries (Marvel, LucasFilm and Pixar), Paramount, Warner Bros., and Fox.

The inaugural edition of Comic Con Experience had about 80 companies involved. The convention’s media guests included well-known actors such as Jason Momoa (Stargate Atlantis, Game of Thrones), Katie Cassidy (Supernatural, Arrow), Lino Facioli (Game of Thrones), Brad Dourif (The Lord of the Rings), Sean Astin (The Lord of the Rings), Fiona Dourif (True Blood) as well as a number of well-known comic book authors and cartoonists from Brazil and abroad.

The first CCXP was held from December 4–7, 2014 at São Paulo Expo. The convention was a huge success, it attracted around 100,000 people. Naturally, it was decided to make Comic Con Experience an annual event. The second edition featured even more celebrity guests (including Krysten Ritter, Misha Collins, Evangeline Lilly, Anna Poplewell, Aml Ameen, John Rhys-Davies, and others) and attracted over 140,000 attendees.

Alongside panels, autograph sessions and photo-ops with celebrity guests, the convention’s program includes cosplay contests, Artists Alley, a large exhibitor area, and other events and attractions for pop culture fans. One of the main highlights of the convention is a special business summit for media industry professionals. It is the largest conference of this kind in Latin America.

In 2020 and 2021, the event was held online due to the coronavirus pandemic.
