The Lviv Coffee Festival was created by a group of coffee lovers who wanted to bring outstanding coffee to their community. The event is organized by DikArt, a creative marketing company that has been operating in Lviv for about two decades.
One of the main goals of the Lviv Coffee Festival is to bring together people passionate about coffee, be they industry professionals, connoisseurs, or coffee lovers. The festival draws over 100,000 people over 4 days, including coffee lovers, roasters, brewers, baristas, latte artists, coffee house owners, and more.
The Lviv Coffee Festival uses its extensive program to promote coffee culture, as well as to provide networking opportunities for industry professionals. The programming includes a plethora of events and activities, including barista demonstrations, coffee tastings, interactive workshops, equipment expositions, and an extravaganza of art and music.
Some of the festival's main highlights include:
- A multi-disciplinary barista competition named the Kulchystky Coffee Cup.
- The Lviv Coffee Expo that showcases coffee-making equipment and accessories, and features tastings, workshops, presentations and discussions.
- The Lviv Coffee Fair: an open-air market featuring artisan coffee, food stalls, workshops, presentations, art displays, and live music.
- The Coffee Nike Mile: a bicycle parade through the Old City featuring nearly 500 participants.
- CoffeeMusicArt: a live entertainment program in front of the Opera House, featuring designers, artists, illustrators, musicians, and DJs.
- Cinema Coffee Nights: open-air film screenings by the Dominican Cathedral.
- City’s Best Coffee House award ceremony.
