RE+ (formerly known as Solar Power International, SPI) is an annual conference dedicated to clean energy, i.e. energy from renewable resources the production of which does not harm the environment. One of the largest clean energy events in North America, it attracts thousands of industry professionals from all over the United States and abroad.

Solar Power International was founded in 2004 as Solar Power Conference and Expo. Its co-founders are the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Solar Electric Power Alliance (SEPA), two American trade associations of the solar-energy industry that joined together to organize an annual event aimed to bring together people, products, and professional development opportunities of the solar industry. In November 2021, Solar Power International and two other clean energy events, Energy Storage International (ESI) and Smart Energy Week, were rebranded as RE+.

According to the organizers, RE+ has four main goals:

  1. To create an environment where industry professionals can exchange ideas, knowledge and expertise for furthering clean energy development.
  2. To provide networking opportunities, helping attendees foster new professional connections and strengthen old ones.
  3. To showcase the latest products and services offered by leading American manufacturers to a wide audience.
  4. To help American companies enter foreign markets and introduce foreign companies to local market.

RE+ consists of two main parts: an exhibition where companies promote their products and services, and conference sessions where industry professionals can share ideas, knowledge and success stories during panels and other events. Since 2013, RE+ has hosted a special section focused on start-ups. The Start-Up Alley is specifically designed to promote up-and-coming companies. Early-stage companies in the clean energy industry are given a chance to present their business proposals and pitch them to a panel of industry leaders and investors.

RE+ attracts over 40,000 attendees from several dozen countries. They include builders, distributors, installers, project developers, engineering companies, service providers, investors, equipment manufacturers, and more. About 600 leading manufacturers, installers and distributors participate in the conference as exhibitors.

RE+ takes place in a new city each year; past host cities have included San Francisco, Washington, San Jose, Long Beach, San Diego, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Dallas, Orlando, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City. In addition to the main conference, RE+ events include Hydrogen Village, RE+ Northern California, Solar+ Storage Mexico, RE+ Southeast, RE+ Texas, RE+ Mid-Atlantic, Solar+ Storage España, Electricity Transformation Canada, RE+ Midwest, RE+ Florida, RE+ Community Energy, RE+ Hawaii, Solar Power Africa, and RE+ Northeast.
