Hippies were looking for a healthier foods that is why they used fruits and vegetables additions as an alternative to the sugary frosted layered cakes and sheet cakes. Their first invention was banana bread, soon after zucchini and carrot breads also appeared.
Zucchini bread is easy to make, that is why it's recommended for beginners. Grated zucchinis, chopped nuts and other optional ingredients like raisins, apple and even chocolate chips are added. Due to its strong and delicious flavor zucchini bread will become your favorite.
Its impossible to find zucchini in your garden in April, but you can buy it in a grocery store. Look for small and medium-sized zucchinis, because they are the most flavorful!
