Russian Entrepreneurship Day Date in the current year: May 26, 2024

President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed the Presidential Decree on introduction of Russian Entrepreneurship Day on October 18, 2007. The holiday is aimed to support the Russian entrepreneurship, that officially was created in 1991 with passage of law on Enterprises and entrepreneurial activity.

This law gave citizens the opportunity to run business individually without the use of hired labor, and establish enterprises and hire the employees. Citizens who register as individuals and run business without forming a legal entity are individual entrepreneurs.

Observation of Russian Entrepreneurship Day includes various events, like exhibitions, presentations, workshops, round tables, seminars etc. These activities allow individual entrepreneurs share their experience and present the results of their work.
