International Day for Monuments and Sites focuses on raising public awareness about the diversity and vulnerability of the world's cultural heritage and drawing attention to the efforts required for its protection and conservation.
Every year, the ICOMOS International Secretariat chooses a global theme for the day to be highlighted on the occasion. National committees are encouraged to hold events linked to the chosen theme. Events and activities that may be organized on this day include, but are not limited to, discussions, exhibitions, competitions, award ceremonies, educational activities at schools and colleges, radio and television broadcasts.Remind me with Google Calendar
