Juice Day in Russia Date in the current year: September 21, 2024

Juice Day in Russia Juice Day is an unofficial holiday celebrated in Russia on the third Saturday in September. Its main goal is to promote fruit and vegetable juices as a tasty and healthy beverage, as well as an important source of vitamins, minerals and other nutrients in the human diet.

The celebration of Juice Day was first initiated by the International Federation of Fruit Juice Producers (IFU; currently known as the International Fruit and Vegetable Juice Association) in 2010. The initiative was supported by Spain, Poland and Turkey. It was decided not to establish a single International Juice Day. Instead, every country was given the opportunity to choose its own date for the celebration.

Russia’s Juice Day was created by the Russian Association of Fruit Juice Producers. Its date, the third Saturday of September, was chosen by an online vote. It was decided to celebrate Juice Day in the fall because it is the harvest season. In addition, the September weather in Russia is usually warm enough to hold outdoor celebrations.

The first Juice Day celebration was held on September 21, 2013 in the Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure in Moscow. The holiday has been celebrated every year since. The celebration usually features juice tastings, lectures, various entertainment, and more.
