Entrepreneur's Day in Ukraine Date in the current year: September 1, 2024

The right of Ukrainian citizens to engage in entrepreneurial activity that is not prohibited or restricted by law is stated in Article 42 of the Constitution of Ukraine. Entrepreneurship in Ukraine is regulated by a number of laws, including the laws “On Property”, “On Entrepreneurship”, “On Enterprises” etc.

Entrepreneur's Day was created to celebrate people who contribute to Ukrainian economy and create new jobs. Their role was especially important during the transition from the planned economy to the market economy after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Ukrainian entrepreneurs still have to face a lot of challenges, so they sometimes use their professional holiday as a means of raising awareness of important issues.

In Ukraine, professional days are working holidays. However, Entrepreneur’s Day always falls on a weekend, so it is a day off for those who work from Monday to Friday.
