However, in 1992 Prof. Thomas Oaster created the holiday and the first celebration took place on February 7, but soon the holiday was forgotten. It was revived in Trinidad and Tobago as a counterweight to International Women's Day. The first official celebration of this holiday took place on November 19, 1999. Since then the date remains unchanged.
