In a large skillet, melt 2 tbs butter and 1/3 cup sugar over high heat until beginning to brown. Add 4 large ripe peaches, peeled and sliced. Cook until tender, stirring. Stir in 2 tbs orange-flavored liqueur and remove from heat. Scoop 1 quart vanilla ice cream into 8 serving bowls. Spoon sautéed peaches evenly over ice cream and drizzle with the peach liquid.

This dessert is not kid-friendly, so if you want to treat your kids, you can forgo orange liqueur.
