Golden Trick of Kobzov

The Golden Trick of Kobzov is an international circus festival held in Ukraine. It’s one of the brightest cultural events in Ukraine that features over 250 circus artists from 15 countries and attracts more than 30,000 spectators over four days.

The Golden Trick of Kobzov was founded in 2011 by Nikolai Kobzov, the director of the Kobzov Circus and the president of the Ukrainian public organization Circus Union of Kobzov. The inaugural festival took place in Kyiv. Although the event was a success, the Golden Trick of Kobzov went on a hiatus and returned in 2013. The second festival was held in the city of Kamianets-Podilskyi. The next year it moved back to Kyiv. Since 2015, the festival has been held in Odesa.

The Golden Trick of Kobzov is held at the Kobzov Circus. The largest traveling circus in Ukraine, it has been a member of the European Circus Association since 2007. The main organizer of the festival is the Circus Union of Kobzov. The Golden Trick of Kobzov aims to discover new talented performers as well as to promote Ukrainian circus. According to Nikolai Kobzov, the festival is a unique event where new stars are born.

The festival lasts for four days and features more than 250 performers from over a dozen countries, including Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Switzerland, Finland, Russia, France, Germany, and more. It showcases about 40 exciting and spectacular circus acts, attracting over 30,000 circus-goers from all over Ukraine and abroad. The best acts are awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals by an international jury composed of respected artists and professionals.

At the Golden Trick of Kobzov, you can see acrobats and trapeze acts, jugglers and tightrope walkers, aerial gymnasts and clowns, animal trainers and acrobalance acts.
