Atlas has an impressive line-up that comprises emerging local musicians, veterans of the Ukrainian stage, and world-class musicians from abroad. For some of the international musicians, it is their first performance in Ukraine. The line-up typically features over 100 acts. Since its inception, Atlas has become one of the biggest music festivals in Eastern Europe.
Musicians and bands that have already performed at the Atlas music festival include 5’nizza, Alloise, Apocalyptica, Bahroma, Beissoul & Einius, Biplan, Boombox, Brunettes Shoot Blondes, BRUTTO, Druha Rika, Dvoe, Epolets, Flëur, Fontaliza, GusGus, I Am Waiting for You Last Summer, Ivan Dorn, Jamala, K.A.T.Y.A, Mgzavrebi, Onuka, O. Torvald, Peter and the Wolves, Pianoboy, PUR:PUR, Secret Avenue, SunSay, Tape Flakes, The Erised, The Maneken, The Rethuses, and many others.
The organizing team of the festival pays special attention to selecting the headlining acts. For example, the 2016 edition of Atlas, back then still known as Atlas Weekend, was headlined by Aquarium, a legendary Russian rock band formed in 1972 by Boris Grebenshikov, who is now the only remaining original member, and Anatoly “George” Gunitsky.
High-quality line-up is what attracts thousands of music lovers from all over Ukraine and even abroad to Atlas. While the festival does focus on music, its also offers theater performances, visual art and design, sports, special attractions for kids, chill-out areas, food stalls, an arts & crafts market, and other activities and attractions for adults and children alike.
The festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 and 2023.
