Creativa Barcelona

Creativa Barcelona
Creativa Barcelona is one of more than a dozen exhibitions for creative design throughout Europe. It is held every November at the La Farga de L’Hospitalet Activity Center, a large event venue with plenty of exhibition space.

Creativa is a series of creative design fairs held in Belgium, Spain, France, and Switzerland. Founded in Brussels in 1998, it was inspired by the DIY (do it yourself) philosophy, which promotes the idea that anyone is capable of performing a variety of tasks rather than relying on specialists. Creativa gives handicrafters an opportunity to explore new trends and techniques, as well as to get precious advice on how to create unique personalized items.

The Creativa fair offers a rich and diverse program aimed at both craftsmen and visitors who are interested in buying unique handmade items. It includes technique demonstrations and hands-on workshops, as well as exhibitor space where handicrafters can sell their items.

Creativa Barcelona has been held every November for more than a decade. The fair has two main areas: the Creative Zone which hosts creative activities and the Expo Zone, the exhibition area where you can find a selection of the best creative projects and materials presented by exhibitors. At the fair, you can buy all kinds of materials and handmade items, including, but not limited to scrapbooking materials, stamps, textiles, craft paper, design patterns and kits, sewing machines, various tools and accessories, vintage jewelry, original designs, and more.

The program of Creativa Barcelona includes over 700 workshops and demonstrations focused on handicrafts and creating design. There are 4 main types of workshops: traditional techniques (cross stitching, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, felting etc.), modern techniques (decoupage, scrapbooking, patchwork, creative baking, floral decoration, soapmaking, candlemaking etc.), children’s crafts, and techniques based on recycling and reuse of materials.
