Customs Day in Kazakhstan Customs Day, also known as Customs Officers' Day or Customs Service Day, is an official professional holiday in Kazakhstan celebrated on December 12. It commemorates the anniversary of the creation of Kazakhstan's Customs Service in 1991.

The work of Kazakhstan's Customs Service (now Customs Control Committee) is regulated by the Customs Code. The code defines the legal, economic and organizational principles of customs activity in Kazakhstan. It aims to protect the country's economic security and sovereignty, integrate the economy of Kazakhstan into the system of world economic relations, and liberalize foreign economic activity in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Customs Day is the professional holiday of all employees of the Customs Control Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Its celebration includes official speeches and ceremonies. The most distinguished customs officers receive special awards and prizes for their hard work, dedication, and accomplishments. Customs Day is not a non-working day, unless it falls on a weekend.
