World Voice Day Date in the current year: April 16, 2024

World Voice Day April 16 is World Voice Day. This annual event is devoted to the celebration of the phenomenon of voice, that is as unique as every person themselves.

The holiday was created in 1999 by combined effort of American and European otolaryngologists and speech and language pathologists. The idea actually belongs to the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and the Portuguese MD Mario André.

The holiday aims to demonstrate the importance of voice in everyday life as the first and the foremost means of communication. Voice is very important for many art forms, like music and theater to name a few.

Traditional celebrations of World Voice Day scattered around the globe during the last years. Concerts, symposia, radio programs, TV shows, open house at voice clinics and education institutes are only some of the events, that are annually organized in different countries in order to celebrate this holiday. Everyone is encouraged to take part in celebration.
