Accountant’s Day in Kazakhstan Date in the current year: October 6, 2018

Accountant’s Day in Kazakhstan On October 6, all accountants in Kazakhstan celebrate their professional holiday. Although Accountant’s Day in Kazakhstan doesn’t have any official status, it is widely observed by accounting professionals throughout the country.

An accountant is a professional responsible for accounting, which is the measurement, processing, and communication of financial information about businesses, corporations and other economic entities. Every business needs an accountant to manage finances, oversee payroll, file taxes, etc., so there’s no wonder that this profession enjoys high demand in most countries. Most businesses either hire a full-time accountant or resort to outsourcing, depending on the amount of accounting work needed.

Despite all the importance of their profession, accountants in Kazakhstan still don’t have an official professional holiday, which is a shame because Accountant’s Day is more than just an occasion to thank accountants for their hard work and dedication. It’s also an opportunity to raise public awareness of the importance of accounting and boost the prestige of the profession.

Accountant’s Day in Kazakhstan was initiated by the staff of Uchet.kz, a web portal where Kazakhstan accountants can find answers to any professional questions, receive valuable advice, and exchange experiences. They even created an online petition to initiate additions to the law On Professional and Other Holidays in the Republic of Kazakhstan that would make Accountant’s Day official.
