Extraterrestrial Abduction Day is also known as Alien Abduction Day. The first term is more widely used, because it's politically correct referring to the creatures not from our planet. The story of this observance is unknown, but it's believed, that is was popularized in 2008 by the Alien Abduction Festival held in Toronto.
Many people don't believe into aliens and the possibility to be abducted, however, every year some people claim, that the have come into contact with aliens. Mostly they describe this experience as non-pleasant. These people are usually not given much attention to and many consider them to be mentally ill. However, there are some plausible stories of abduction, that became very popular around the world.
The very first American recorded abduction was publicized in 1961. The couple Betty and Barney Hill from New Hampshire claimed that they had seen the UFO while on their way back from the Niagara Falls. When the UFO was over their car, the couple heard buzzing and then briefly blacked out. When they woke up, they traveled 35 miles south and their watches were broken.Remind me with Google Calendar
