Youth Day in Tajikistan Date in the current year: May 23, 2024

Celebration of Youth Day on May 23 is preceded by Youth Week, that is full of different events and activities for young Tajiks. These activities include sports competitions, cultural events, poetry recitals etc.

Young people are very important for political, social, economic and cultural spheres of Tajikistan. The state youth policy is one of the priorities for the Government of Tajikistan, and observance of Youth Day is an opportunity to sum up annual results and determine the strategy for better implementation of youth policy.

Emomali Rahmon annually addresses to the young Tajiks on Youth day. He emphasizes the importance of young Tajiks, who take responsibility for the future of the state and nation. Young Tajiks should join their efforts to contribute to the expansion and development of national identity, patriotism and strengthening of national unity.
