Children's Day was established in 1931 in recognition of the rights of the child. Since then the schools annually organize special events devoted to the holiday. Many parents insisted on taking part in celebration with their children, that is why in 1991 April 4 became a holiday for children and women and now it's known as the combined holiday of Women's Day and Children's Day.
The tradition was accepted by nation and since 1991 the combined holiday is observed. The fact, that April 4 is also Women's Day is usually not highlighted, that is why most activities are devoted to children as the future of the nation.
Childrens' Day officially became a public holiday in 2011. Numerous events are sponsored by the state and non-government organizations. Celebration of this holiday aims to strengthen the relationship between parents and children.Remind me with Google Calendar
