The World Council of Credit Unions is a leading association for credit unions. The World Council cooperates with various organizations and it provides its services in 103 countries around the world.

The World Council established International Credit Union Day, that is celebrated since 1948. Observation of this day draws public attention to credit unions and their history and promotes their achievements. Credit unions have done a significant work around the world and every willing organizations may be involved in their activity.
