International Astrology Day Date in the current year: March 20, 2024

International Astrology Day International Astrology Day is observed annually on the day of the vernal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. It can be celebrated by astrologers and astrology enthusiasts between March 19 and 22, although the most frequent date is March 20.

The spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere marks the beginning of a new astrological year. It's also the first day of the astrological sign of Aries and thus the beginning of the tropical Zodiac.

The spring equinox has a great importance for many counties and nations, as it marks the beginning of spring and new year (in Persian cultures). It's the day when the day and the night are of equal span because the Sun's rays fall vertically on the equator, and the Sun transits from the Southern Hemisphere to the Northern Hemisphere.

The celebration of International Astrology Day was started by the Association for Astrological Networking in 1993. This holiday replaced their Astrology Awareness Weekends. The spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere was chosen as the day for the celebration since this day is one of the most important ones for astrology and astronomy.
