German Brain Tumor Association seeks ways, that would draw attention of politicians and businessmen, scientific and medical institutions to the importance of research funding in this area and interdisciplinary collaboration. All these would help find an affordable and effective treatment for this type of cancer.

More than 8,000 people suffer from malignant brain tumor only in Germany. More than 500 new cases of brain tumor are diagnosed everyday worldwide. Number of patients with tumors that cause brain metastases is even higher than that. Brain tumor is the most common type of cancer among children.
