Entrepreneur's Day in Kyrgyzstan Date in the current year: September 20, 2024

Establishment of Entrepreneur's Day was initiated by the First Congress of the Kyrgyz Entrepreneurs. Later the idea was supported by the government and the professional day was established by presidential decree on October 20, 2000. The first observation of this day took place in 2001.

Entrepreneurship is essential for development of economy of Kyrgyzstan. This is one of the ways of creation of new workplaces and increasing the revenue. In 2002, president of Kyrgyzstan created the Council on Development of Entrepreneurship. The council is responsible for right policies, settlement of the business relations and improvement of protection procedure of entrepreneurs' rights and concerns.

Special events and activities take place on Entrepreneur's Day in every city of the country. Entrepreneurs participate in various theme events, connected with the issues of running a business.
