Prosecutor's Day in Azerbaijan Date in the current year: October 1, 2024

The Office of the Public Prosecutor started functioning in Azerbaijan only after collapse of the Soviet Union. During the Soviet era local offices of public prosecutors submitted to a single Soviet administration. A new period of development of the Office of the Public Prosecutor began only when Azerbaijan gained independence from the Soviet Union.

Prosecutors in Azerbaijan execute complex tasks. They are required to have a special set of personal and professional characteristics to become a worthy employees. All Azerbaijani prosecutors accept congratulations on this day from their friends, relatives and authorities. Every year president of Azerbaijan issues a decree on awarding outstanding prosecutors.
