Day of Revenue Service in Azerbaijan Date in the current year: February 11, 2024

The Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan Republic was establishment on February 11, 2000. Its predecessor was Tax Inspection Department within the Ministry of Finance, that was established in 1990 after the breakup of the Soviet Union. This department was closed and reopened as the Main State Tax Inspection in 1991. The inspection became the Ministry of Taxes on February 11, 2000 by the Presidential Decree, thus the day of its formation is regarded as a professional holiday for all workers of Azerbaijani revenue service.

The revenue service of Azerbaijan monitors compliance with tax laws in the country, detects and suppresses attempts to violate the requirements of legislation. Day of Revenue Service was created to highlight the important role of the service in the life of the state and society.
